Cyntwell Booking Terms and Conditions

The minimum stay is usually two nights but we can sometimes accommodate single night bookings. Over the “May Day” and “Christmas” Festivals we require a minimum three night stay.

We are sorry but we do not accept pets. However I do look after a family members dogs occasionally so Cyntwell may not be suitable if you have a pet allergy.

The single occupancy rate is £10.00 off the double room rate.

We are sorry but we do not accept children under twelve. The maximum number of persons to stay in each room is two.

Unfortunately we have no private parking at Cyntwell.  Details regarding parking can be found on the website under the heading “map, directions and parking”.


How to make a Booking

Please telephone us if you would like to make a booking. We also have an online availability and booking facility which enables you to reserve a room, if you do make an online booking we will contact you to arrange payment of your deposit.

A deposit is required to reserve a room and we can debit this from a credit/debit card (sorry but we do not accept American Express) sorry but we do not accept cheques. This deposit will be equivalent to one nights accommodation at Cyntwell and your card details will be held to secure your booking. All prices are inclusive of breakfast. By making your booking, our agreement is a legal contract and your deposit is non-refundable/transferable. Final payment will be due on the day of departure.

nb** For holiday companies and overseas visitors the total cost of holiday is due at the time of booking.



If you cancel your booking less than 30 days before your arrival and the booking cannot be re-let, you are still liable to pay for the booking in full, (this also applies to early departure). We would debit this amount from your credit/debit card. For this reason we strongly recommend that you take out holiday cancellation insurance, this is inexpensive and offers peace of mind. However we will endeavour to re-let your room, if we succeed in doing so we will refund you less an administration fee of £10.00.


Arrival and Departure

Rooms are available on the day of arrival from 2.30 pm (this time also applies in regards to dropping off luggage) onwards and the latest arrival time is 8.00 pm.

Rooms must be vacated on the day of departure by 11.00 am.


Non-availability of Accommodation

We would only cancel your holiday if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would however attempt to offer you alternative accommodation. If this was not possible or acceptable to you then we would refund all monies paid by you for the holiday. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.


Damages and Breakages

Please take care when staying in our property. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages, which you cause, to the accommodation or its contents. All we ask is that you report any incidents as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages but we may charge you if the damage or breakage is significant. This also applies to stains on the carpet or bedding that may have to be cleaned professionally.

Please do not bring or eat any take away food in the rooms



We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.



Breakfast is served between 8.30am and 9.30am.

nb** we are unable to offer breakfast at any earlier time.



Smoking is not allowed in the rooms at cyntwell
